Burning Regulations, DID YOU KNOW???????

1.       The leading cause of wildfires is burning barrels.

2.       Burning barrels are regulated by MN statute.

3.       A burning permit is required for all open burning of brush/leaves/wood when there

4.       is less than 3 inches of snow on the ground.

5.       A permit is not required when there is over 3 inches of snow on the ground.

NOTE: Several of your lake neighbors can testify to the cost of being caught by the DNR burning without a permit.
